Well, we're back from Houston, and headed to Waco tomorrow for a wedding. We had a wonderful visit with the Pierce family, although the ride home was pretty rough.

Aunt Barbara was nice enough to get out with the boys about half-way home and let them stretch their legs while I fed Gray in the car. We saw a nice patch of grass, and some police cars in the parking lot, so I figured, "what could be safer than the local police station?" Um, would you qualify the Colorado County JAIL as a good place for a rest stop? Did I mention the INMATES mowing the grass? I think Aunt Barbara deserves a gold star. Or a tranquilizer. Whatever she wants.

And I would like to know ONE PERSON who can drive past a Czech gas station in Central Texas and NOT stop for a kolache. I mean, really. Who can resist the gas pump/bakery combination?

I'll write a bit more about our visit with Kristina and the kids later, but for now, I'll just post a picture of the boys with their maternal great-grandfather, Bubba. We all went to lunch at McDonalds and had a good visit. (Bubba deadpanned "They expect people with children to eat there")

Oh, and Gray continues to do a little better on solid food. He dined on a nice array of leaves and grass while in Houston, and his favorite teether continues to be Crocs. But only completely sanitized crocs. Never dirty crocs out of the shoe basket. That would be disgusting.
